Free movies under the stars
A blanket and a picnic is all that’s needed for a great night out at the movies this summer.
Telecom Movies in Parks returns to Auckland for an even longer series of free midweek classic Kiwi film screenings.
Live New Zealand music will set the scene before the feature films show after sunset on a large inflatable screen.
The series will run every Wednesday for nine weeks starting on February 11 at Tahaki Reserve in Mt Eden with a screening of the quirky local comedy Eagle vs Shark and a performance by Artisan Guns. Movies in Parks will be held for three weeks in Tahaki Reserve, followed by three weeks of movies at Western Park in Freemans Bay and then on to three weeks at Glover Park in St Heliers.
