Walk to promote inclusion
Hundreds of people are due to gather at Takahi Reserve in Mt Eden this Sunday for the Down Syndrome Association’s annual Buddy Walk.
The 3.5km walk coincides with World Down Syndrome Day on Saturday.
It is the fourth year the Buddy Walk has been held in Auckland and aims to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with down syndrome.
The walk starts at 10am and will be followed by a fun fair with food stalls, entertainment, and celebrities.
Participants can register for the walk by downloading a registration form from www. buddywalknz.org, or can register on the day at 9am.
