Walk to pro­mote in­clu­sion

Hun­dreds of peo­ple are due to gather at Takahi Re­serve in Mt Eden this Sun­day for the Down Syn­drome As­so­ci­a­tion’s an­nual Buddy Walk.

The 3.5km walk co­in­cides with World Down Syn­drome Day on Satur­day.

It is the fourth year the Buddy Walk has been held in Auck­land and aims to pro­mote ac­cep­tance and in­clu­sion of peo­ple with down syn­drome.

The walk starts at 10am and will be fol­lowed by a fun fair with food stalls, en­ter­tain­ment, and celebri­ties.

Par­tic­i­pants can reg­is­ter for the walk by down­load­ing a regis­tra­tion form from www. bud­dy­walknz.org, or can reg­is­ter on the day at 9am.
