Generation Why retold in concert
An internationally successful New Zealandborn star will entertain audiences at the Wintergarden later this month.
Hayden Tee will perform his new concert, Generation Why?, for the first time in New Zealand at the Civic theatre centre on April 26.
The critically acclaimed show presents Generation Y events visually and acoustically to deliver reworkings of popular music from the era.
Mr Tee will perform songs from artists including Michael Jackson, Crowded House, Cyndi Lauper, Dave Dobbyn and more.
Directed by Darren Yap, the show will also feature musical director Nigel Ubrihiem on piano and special guest Sheridan Harbridge, winner of Australia’s Cabaret Showcase.
Mr Tee says there will be something for people of every generation at the show.
Each song will reflect a significant historical and personal event for Generation Y such as the fall of the Berlin wall, the AIDS epidemic and the conflict in Ireland.
Born in New Zealand, Mr Tee now lives in Australia and has travelled the world performing in theatre, concert and cabaret shows.
