Other matches in sec­tion A saw the Marist Saints over­come the North­cote Tigers 22-12, while the Bay Roskill Vik­ings suf­fered a hard fought 20-12 loss to the How­ick Hor­nets.

And in sec­tion B the Pon­sonby Ponies over­whelmed the Hi­bis­cus Coast Raiders 66-4.

On Satur­day the last match of the Fox qual­i­fy­ing round sees Rich­mond put the Roope Rooster on the line when they face Marist at Grey Lynn Park. Mt Al­bert take on Man­gere East at Fowlds Park, Bay Roskill clash with North­cote at Birken­head War Memo­rial and Pon­sonby play Te Atatu at Jack Colvin Park.

All matches start at 2.30pm.
