A look behind the scenes of Motat’s most well-known machines including the pumphouse and the historic beam engine are on offer these school holidays.

Motat’s Make it Move experience is an innovative “show and tell” about machinery. Activities include the innovation station where kids can create new machines.

Children can check out the giant inflatable cube packed full of activities to help them think outside the box. They can also fly a glider in the wind tunnel of Motat’s aviation hangar.

Make it Move is themed around the Fonterra Science Roadshow, which will be at Motat from July 4 to 19.

Activities run daily from 10am to 4.30pm at Motat on Great North Rd and Meola Rd, Western Springs.

A family pass costs $30, adults are $14 and children, students and senior citizens $7.
