Knowing where to start when lending a helping hand is often the difficult part.

Kerri Tilby had that in mind when she wrote her book The Seriously Good Guide to Fundraising in New Zealand.

The book is a guide to help organisations run events, raise money and marketing in the community.

It is being distributed free to 5000 community groups around the country.

Organisations in the Auckland region have the chance to attend a workshop run by Ms Tilby on August 18 in Manukau city.

The workshop will cover possible income sources such as community grants, sponsorship, donations and traditional fundraising activities.

To receive a copy of the guide, organisations can visit the members’ area at www.exhult.co.nz or to register for the workshop email workshops@exult.co.nz.
