Lupus group wraps up year
People who live with lupus are invited to attend a meeting ahead of the Christmas season.
The Lupus Trust of New Zealand holds support meetings on the North Shore, which are open for anyone in Auckland to attend.
The next meeting on November 7 is dedicated to the silly season with tips on present wrapping and bow making followed by a social party.
People joining the meeting should bring a unisex $5 secret Santa present and a plate to share.
The Lupus Trust aims to increase awareness of the condition and its meetings have a strong message of how to live well with lupus.
Lupus is a
chronic autoimmune condition which is neither infectious nor contagious.
The meeting takes place at The Bays Community Centre, 2 Glen Rd, Browns Bay, from 7.15pm.
