Lu­pus group wraps up year

Peo­ple who live with lu­pus are in­vited to at­tend a meet­ing ahead of the Christ­mas sea­son.

The Lu­pus Trust of New Zealand holds sup­port meet­ings on the North Shore, which are open for any­one in Auck­land to at­tend.

The next meet­ing on Novem­ber 7 is ded­i­cated to the silly sea­son with tips on present wrapping and bow mak­ing fol­lowed by a so­cial party.

Peo­ple join­ing the meet­ing should bring a uni­sex $5 se­cret Santa present and a plate to share.

The Lu­pus Trust aims to in­crease aware­ness of the con­di­tion and its meet­ings have a strong mes­sage of how to live well with lu­pus.

Lu­pus is a

chronic au­toim­mune con­di­tion which is nei­ther in­fec­tious nor con­ta­gious.

The meet­ing takes place at The Bays Community Cen­tre, 2 Glen Rd, Browns Bay, from 7.15pm.
