Performance down

Auckland City Harbour News - - NEWS -

The Auckland District Health Board must lift its performance, chief executive Ailsa Claire says. The board has released its results for the first quarter of 2012-13, and has fallen short of four performance targets. While the board achieved its goals of shorter waits for cancer treatments and increased immunisation, it narrowly missed the targets for shorter stays in emergency departments, better help for smokers to quit and improved access to elective surgery. It fell well behind of its target for more heart and diabetes checks.
