Unitec educates people so they can kick start their careers. They build relationships with industry, business and the community to create opportunities for them and their students.

One such joint venture is the new IBM NZ Delivery Centre based at the Mt Albert campus.

Based on IBM’s successful Delivery Centre Model with the University of Ballarat, the Delivery Centre will provide Unitec students with part-time employment opportunities, as well as access to scholarships, student internships and graduate recruitment programmes with IBM.

‘‘Working with a highly respected global company will give our students the head start they need to get a great job when they graduate,’’ Unitec chief executive Dr Rick Ede says.

‘‘Bringing innovative businesses such as IBM into the education environment is about matching the skills of our students with the demands of business and providing students with the experience they need
