Future in a video

Auckland City Harbour News - - NEWS -

Auckland Council is calling for young film-makers to create a video showing how they picture their future in Auckland.

The competition will ask entrants to respond to one of three questions in a threeminute video.

Councillor Michael Goudie oversees the council’s Youth Advisory Panel and says the aim is to find out how young people see their future.

‘‘You could be a total film buff with all the equipment, a script and a cast, creating something super-slick with your mates. Or you could be one of our younger future film-makers, getting mum or dad to film you with their smartphone,’’ he says.

‘‘What’s important your ideas.’’

The competition is open to anyone aged 25 and under. The top three entries will be posted on Auckland Council’s YouTube channel on March 15.

The video with the most likes on May 31 wins a $3000 Prezzy Card. Second place will receive a card worth $2000 and third place a card for $1000.
