Breakfast with the tigers is on the menu at Auckland Zoo this weekend.

It’s a rare chance for people to enjoy a meal at the zoo’s tiger exhibit on Saturday and Sunday, a fundraiser to help Sumatran tigers in the wild.

The 8am to 10am Tiger Breakfast runs both days.

It includes a continental breakfast at Tiger Territory, where guests can view the tigers which will also be feeding.

A tiger keeper will give a talk about these critically endangered big cats. After breakfast, there will be the opportunity to bid on some one-of-a-kind auction items before being treated to a behind-the- scenes tour to see some of the zoo’s most spectacular animals up close.

Both breakfasts are limited to 40 guests.

Tickets are $95 or two tickets for $180.

All proceeds go to the Auckland Zoo Conservation Fund to support 21st Century Tiger.
