Farewelling a loved one your way

Tilton Opie & Pattinson has been providing Auckland families with dignified and caring funeral services for more than 80 years – never wavering from their principles of service.

The company was established in 1930 in Grey Lynn; opening a second funeral home in New Lynn in 1993.

Each location has a lovely chapel, viewing rooms, reception areas and catering services.

The New Lynn chapel, much admired for its stained glass window, recently had sound and video system upgrades.

In an age when many see funeral services as ’big business’, and build facilities and timetables to match, Tilton Opie & Pattinson has always favoured the intimate approach – where families come first, funeral services are highly personalised, and loved ones are given plenty of time to pay their tributes.

Tilton Opie & Pattinson always goes the extra mile to see that the wishes of family and deceased are met. Many families come to them having heard from others of their caring service.

To Tilton Opie & Pattinson what is important to the family is paramount with them. They cater for all cultures and look after them in their own way.

The company also has a good reputation for affordability, and will help families over issues like WINZ funeral grants and ACC claims.

The funeral directors are happy to discuss prearranging and prepaying funerals.

Planning ahead can help take pressure off families at a stressful time, can also remove potential conflict within families, and see that the wishes of the deceased are met.

As members of the Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand, Tilton Opie & Pattinson deposits all prepay funds into the Independent Funeral Trust operated by FDANZ.
