House trashed

Auckland City Harbour News - - NEWS -

Obscene graffiti, a slashed couch and puddles of engine oil are among the horrors one man is cleaning up after his house was broken into. The break-in happened sometime between Saturday and Thursday last week while he was away, Avondale police acting Senior Sergeant Ralph Bosma says. Graffiti was sprayed on walls and furniture while used engine oil was poured over clothes, beds, walls and the floor. ‘‘It is unusual. We don’t think it was personal though,’’ Mr Bosma says. Despite the damage very little was stolen. Police are waiting on forensic results. Anybody with information is asked to call crime scene attendant Charles at Avondale Police on 302 6400 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
