Special football cup
Young athletes will be chasing glory next month at the Special Olympics New Zealand’s Football World Cup. The Oceania Football Confederation and New Zealand Football are offering people with intellectual disabilities around New Zealand the opportunity to train and compete in football. Hundreds of students from schools across central Auckland, including Auckland Girls Grammar, are expected to take part in a football event in Henderson on June 20 as part of the festivities.
