Applications for the McCahon House Residency are now open to New Zealand professional artists who have demonstrated a commitment to their practice and have received some critical acclaim. The residency aims to give outstanding emergent or mid career artists an opportunity to develop their work through a supportive programme while living in the environment that impacted so profoundly on Colin McCahon during the 1950s. The residency is available for three-month periods between June 17, 2014 and June 1, 2015. Applications close on August 19. Go to mccahonhouse.org.nz or contact the manager Diane Blomfield on mccahon@ mccahonhouse.org.nz or phone 827 1649.
