Modern western screens for first time on television
The team behind the Kiwi film Netherwood will gather at Ponsonby’s Chapel Bar and Bistro for the national television premiere of the film tonight.
Netherwood is a modern-day western set in North Canterbury.
Fans of the genre or Kiwi film are invited to join in for the viewing.
The film premiered at the New Zealand International Film Festival in 2011 before screening in 21 centres around the country.
To celebrate the DVD launch, the group that brought the feature-length film to life will watch its national screening on Rialto from 8.30pm.
