New board graphics

Auckland City Harbour News - - WS -

A set of innovative ‘infographic’ resources have been created for each of Auckland’s 21 local boards. From Albert-Eden to Whau, each board has its own easyto-read snapshot giving essential information and data specific to the area. Developed by COMET Auckland, the brochures include information such as median income, ethnicity and local iwi, education services and local skills and industries. Project leader Alison Sutton says existing data is too complex to be effective in local decision making. ‘‘Education, learning and skills are key issues in our communities, so it’s important to have specific information at the local level to enable good decisions to be made about how to improve outcomes,’’ she says. She is encouraging Aucklanders to use the snapshots as a reference tool for meetings, parent-teacher interviews and community discussions. Go to cometauck to access the snapshots.
