Expo shows way to be fit
Everything from arm wrestling to boxing and the latest international workout crazes will be on show at the ASB Showgrounds next month giving fitness fanatics new ways to keep active.
The second annual New Zealand Fitness Expo will provide ticket-holders with unlimited fitness classes from City Fitness, Zumba and X-Pole and allow them to see the country’s top athletes competing for championship titles.
More than 70 exhibitors will be showcasing the latest fitness equipment, gym facilities and supplements and nutrition.
The expo’s ambassador and New Zealand Warriors nutritionist Lee-Anne Wann says the event is for everyone from beginners to the advanced exerciser.
International Federation of Bodybuilding professional Steve Cook, Australasian armwrestling champion Maateiwarangi Heta-Morris and Warriors star Kevin Locke will all be making an appearance at the event.
Six fitness and sporting championships will be contested at the showgrounds during the weekend including the inaugural NZ Amateur Boxing Games, NZ Fitness Expo Strongman Championship and the NZ Arm Wrestling Invitational.
The New Zealand Fitness Expo is on July 13 and 14 at the ASB Showgrounds, Greenlane.
Expo-goers can also raise their heartbeat with a 5-kilometre fun run on July 13.
Children under 10 enter free.
