Closed for Good
The BNZ bank will be closing its doors today. The bank is taking part in the Closed for Good campaign which will see staff helping out on projects that benefit local communities. Nearly 5500 staff are joining the nationwide campaign and some will be collecting money for Kidz First Children’s Hospital’s Neonatal Unit. Money raised will fund infant warmers at the unit, which treats more than 850 premature and critically-ill newborns a year. The machines are essential in allowing a newborn baby’s condition to stabilise quickly. Closed for Good is the single biggest day of corporate volunteering in New Zealand. However, BNZ staff will still be available on the phone to help customers get their banking done. Telephone, internet and mobile banking are also all available to customers on the day.
