Aucklanders will have the chance to measure up their mayoral candidates and hear where they stand on vital issues concerning the super-city tonight.
The mayoral debate will be held at the University of Auckland and will cover topics such as housing affordability, future transport options and the proposed Auckland Unitary Plan.
The debate will
be chaired by journalist and political commentator Rod Oram who will direct questions to the incumbent Len Brown and contenders John Minto, John Palino and Uesifili Unasa.
The debate is part of the Fast Forward lecture series at the National Institute of Creative Arts and Industries at the university.
The mayoral hopefuls, who hold diverse views on many issues, will have to answer five questions each.
With less than two months left until election day this is the perfect opportunity for voters to size up the contenders.
