Wear odd shoes
Odd Shoe day will be held on September 13 to raise money for Camp Quality – an initiative designed to enhance the lives of children with cancer. People are encouraged to wear odd shoes at work and school on the day and donate to the organisation online at campquality.org.nz or through the BNZ. The first New Zealand camp was held in West Auckland in January 1985 and attracted 22 children from throughout the country. The free summer camps are now held every year to help children and their families overcome the challenges of living with cancer. Camp Quality also deliver family days, social outings, reunions and mini-camps.
