Look­ing back on cars of yes­ter­year

Mo­tor­ing en­thu­si­asts will be able to ex­plore New Zealand’s love af­fair with cars when they roll up to Mo­tat this month.

The ex­hi­bi­tion Mo­tor Na­tion is host­ing more than 17 clas­sic cars, in­clud­ing the mu­seum’s old­est car, a 100-year-old Brush Run­about, a 1965 Trekka – the only car to be de­signed and masspro­duced in New Zealand – and a near orig­i­nal con­di­tion Mor­ris Mini.

The cars will be dis­played in a themed ex­hi­bi­tion of seven eras rep­re­sent­ing New Zealand’s in­fat­u­a­tion with cars.

The ex­hi­bi­tion will run through­out Septem­ber at Mo­tat, 805 Great North Rd, Western Springs.
