Gram­mar misses out in fi­nal

Af­ter a hard-fought first half Mt Al­bert Gram­mar School let their lead slip away in the New Zealand Rugby League Na­tional Sec­ondary School grand fi­nal.

Their op­po­nents Kel­ston Boys High School walked away with a 26-18 win from Bruce Pul­man Park on Sept- em­ber 6 in a tough match.

The West Auck­land school has waited 10 years to re­gain the cham­pi­onship shield.

Both teams came in to the fi­nal round with three wins, as did third-placed St Paul’s Col­lege, who fin­ished their cam­paign with a 20-12 win over Otahuhu Col­lege.
