Turn back the clock
Families will be able to turn back time when they visit Motat these school holidays.
They’ll be able to step into the shoes of Aucklanders from both the upper and lower society classes living in the early 1900s with the Victorian-themed experience Turn Back Time.
Centred on what life was like then, Turn Back Time coincides with the Auckland Heritage Festival on from September 28 to October 13.
Activities include Victorian games on the village green such as giant chess, stilt walking, horse and carriage rides and coconut shy.
A family-friendly Punch and Judy show will run on the hour, daily from 11am till 4pm.
Motat has also partnered up with Disney just in time for the cinema release of the movie Planes.
To celebrate, Motat’s Aviation Display Hall is offering interactive Planes activity stations and is giving kids the chance to meet the planes from the film in real- life. Snippets of the film will play while kids are encouraged to join the dots, colourin and enter competitions to win Disney Planes prizes.
Victorian games: Motat is giving families the chance to turn back time with a Victorianthemed experience.
