Fam­i­lies will be able to turn back time when they visit Mo­tat th­ese school hol­i­days.

They’ll be able to step into the shoes of Auck­lan­ders from both the up­per and lower so­ci­ety classes liv­ing in the early 1900s with the Vic­to­rian-themed ex­pe­ri­ence Turn Back Time.

Cen­tred on what life was like then, Turn Back Time co­in­cides with the Auck­land Her­itage Fes­ti­val on from Septem­ber 28 to Oc­to­ber 13.

Ac­tiv­i­ties in­clude Vic­to­rian games on the vil­lage green such as gi­ant chess, stilt walk­ing, horse and car­riage rides and co­conut shy.

A fam­ily-friendly Punch and Judy show will run on the hour, daily from 11am till 4pm.

Mo­tat has also part­nered up with Dis­ney just in time for the cin­ema re­lease of the movie Planes.

To cel­e­brate, Mo­tat’s Avi­a­tion Dis­play Hall is of­fer­ing in­ter­ac­tive Planes ac­tiv­ity sta­tions and is giv­ing kids the chance to meet the planes from the film in real- life. Snip­pets of the film will play while kids are en­cour­aged to join the dots, colourin and en­ter com­pe­ti­tions to win Dis­ney Planes prizes.
