Help for orphans
The streets and parks of Auckland will play race track this weekend for a group of people using creativity to help others.
Members of not for profit organisation Buyisa will hold an Amazing Race across the city featuring a series of physical and creative tasks to have fun and raise money for a Fijian orphanage.
Organiser Stanton Dunn says the event is an opportunity to help those in need. Twentyfive teams have registered, at a cost of $15 a person, to take part with proceeds going to the Treasure House orphanage in Nadi.
‘‘They have 25 kids there and the money will be used for the necessities like formula, nappies and whatever else they need,’’ Mr Dunn says.
The group’s last e event included kayaking at Mission Bay.
