Popular play comes alive
Pt Chevalier resident Phil Peleton is making a comeback to the stage in next month’s theatre thriller The Woman in Black.
Originally a 1983 book by Susan Hill, The Woman in Black is now a popular play with audiences.
This adaptation, directed by John Antony, is a play within a play following Arthur Kipps, played by Mr Peleton, who hires an actor to help him bring his personal experiences to life, following a tragic past.
He is joined by Lord of the Flies actor Zane Fleming who takes on the role of The Actor.
A familiar face on New Zealand screens and stages, Mr Peleton trained in London and worked in film and theatre in the UK.
The Woman in Black will play at The Pum- phouse Theatre in Takapuna from October 16 to 26.
