Kiwis up to challenge
Kiwi athletes have racked up another victory over their transTasman rivals by taking out the inaugural ANZA Challenge. Nearly 1000 people joined the New Zealand team of celebrity sports stars for a public run on October 20 at the Auckland Domain. The event marked the end of the six-day challenge where sports stars and celebrities ran, rowed, cycled and sailed on both sides of the ditch to raise funds for charities. A team of athletes from Mt Albert Grammar School were among those who took part in a 5km school race. All entry fees from the Auckland charity run went to the Halberg Disability Sports Foundation which helps physically disabled New Zealanders participate in sport.
