How would you world hunger?

That’s the ques­tion be­ing asked for a speech com­pe­ti­tion be­ing held this month.

The Global Vol­un­teer Net­work has launched a cam­paign called Eat So They Can which aims to bring aware­ness to the ma­jor is­sues sur­round­ing world hunger.

The United Na­tions Food and Agri­cul­ture Or­gan­i­sa­tion es­ti­mates that nearly one in eight peo­ple suf­fer from chronic un­der­nour­ish­ment.

The net­work wants to

end hear from peo­ple with ideas on how they would solve the epi­demic of hunger.

The com­pe­ti­tion is call­ing for peo­ple to give a three-minute speech an­swer­ing the ques­tion ‘‘How would you end world hunger?’’.

The win­ner will be an­nounced on Novem­ber 23, at the Owen Glen Busi­ness School at the Univer­sity of Auck­land.
