Boards start work
Most of the city’s newly elected local boards have been sworn in and their chair men and women selected. The Waitemata Local Board has selected Shale Chambers as its chairman for another term. Pippa Coom will again act as deputy. The Albert-Eden Board convened on Wednesday night and the City Vision candidate Peter Haynes was also returned as chairman for a second term. Political veteran Glenda Fryer, back in the game after a three-year absence, will take on the deputy’s chair.
