Tree ready to receive presents
A long-established Christmas tradition looks to be bigger and better this season.
The Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal is now in its 19th year of supporting Kiwi families around the country.
This year organisers are hoping to collect 40,000 gifts to be distributed by The Salvation Army.
To participate, people can buy a gift then collect a tag from any Kmart store to jot down the recipient’s intended age and gender. Gifts can then be placed under the tree. Kmart welcomes gifts bought from any retailer.
The Wishing Tree Appeal runs until December 24.
