Join the sleep apnoea discussion at meeting
Thousands of New Zealanders live every day in a state of sleep deprivation caused by sleep apnoea.
The Sleep Apnoea Association of NZ (SAANZ) would like to start a support group in central Auckland for sufferers.
Come to the meeting on November 27, 6.30pm at Epsom Bowling Club, 77 The Drive, Epsom, if you are interested in learning more.
Several of the executive committee will attend the meeting, along with Dr Alex Bartle of Sleep Well Clinic, sleep physiologist Prudence Murray from Auckland District Health Board, and Jonathan Ellis, a product specialist from Fisher & Paykel Healthcare.
The panel will speak about Sleep Apnoea and how it affects the patient and their family, treatment options and how these maintain open airways during sleep, and how to overcome the issues that some people experience in using CPAP machines. There will be an opportunity for questions from the floor.
