Mod­els to pa­rade on 125m cat­walk

Mod­els will stop traf­fic in the in­ner city as they strut down New Zealand’s long­est cat­walk.

A sec­tion of Queen St, be­tween Short­land and Wyn­d­ham streets, will be closed on March 8 so that a 125-me­tre­long cat­walk can be in­stalled as part of 10 Days of Fash­ion in the City. The free show kicks off at 1pm and will see 40 mod­els pa­rade down the mid­dle of the street wear­ing 80 in-sea­son out­fits.

Other events in­clude Brit­o­mart Fash­ion Ses­sions which fea­tures six fash­ion shows over two days. It opens to­day at 1pm with free stand­ing en­try to see de­signs by Trelise Cooper at the Atrium on Taku­tai, Brit­o­mart.

To­mor­row kids can dress up for a fash­ion-themed sto­ry­time at the Cen­tral City Li­brary from 11am.
