Stressed-out men wanted for online health survey
Men of all ages and backgrounds are needed for a new study on wellbeing.
The Mental Health Foundation is looking at how men access and use information to support themselves during stressful life events.
Participants will be asked to complete a short online survey where they will answer questions about work, friendships and the way they use information and support services.
Focus groups will also be set up during April for people to share their thoughts with researchers and their peers.
Mental Health Foundation chief executive Judi Clements says the study aims to discover how men seek help when they are distressed and what can be done to better reach them.
‘‘Research tells us that many men do not seek information and support in a timely way,’’ Ms Clements says.
‘‘This can obviously have a big impact.’’
Checkup time: Both physical and mental health checks are important for men during times of stress.
