Load of chocolate to egg-xit chopper

Auckland City Harbour News - - NEWS -

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s the Easter bunny!

Thousands of Easter eggs will be dropping from the sky as a helicopter hovers over the Auckland Domain on April 18.

After the helicopter has safely left the area, the race is on for children to storm the field and collect the eggs.

The spectacle is part of the free annual Egg Day Out which will be at the Auckland Domain, North Harbour Stadium and Vodafone Events Centre on Good Friday.

More than 30,000 Cadbury Easter eggs will be handed out.

Families can join in the Easter egg hunt and egg and spoon race while kids have fun on bouncy castles and have their faces painted.

Skywork Helicopters are partnering with Equippers Church to host the event with all money raised going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Last year thousands of families flocked to Orakei Domain to take part.

The event is from 11am to 4pm, and the rain date is April 19.

Ready, set: Kids will get to hunt for thousands of Easter eggs during the Egg Day Out.
