Junk turns into entertainment
Household junk is transformed into shadow puppetry in a familyfriendly comedy show.
Sticks Stones Broken Bones, created and performed by Canadian-born Jeff Achtem, plays at the Herald Theatre this month as part of the NZ International Comedy Festival.
Achtem, as his alter ego Mr Bunk, recycles rubbish and bits and bobs from around the house to create the comedic puppet show.
The show comes direct to Auckland from the Adelaide Fringe festival.
It picked up the Best Newcomer award at the Edinburgh Fringe festival in 2010.
It run from April 29 to May 3 at 11am and 6.30pm at the Herald Theatre, Aotea Centre.
