Junk turns into en­ter­tain­ment

House­hold junk is trans­formed into shadow pup­petry in a fam­i­lyfriendly com­edy show.

Sticks Stones Bro­ken Bones, cre­ated and per­formed by Cana­dian-born Jeff Achtem, plays at the Her­ald The­atre this month as part of the NZ In­ter­na­tional Com­edy Fes­ti­val.

Achtem, as his al­ter ego Mr Bunk, re­cy­cles rub­bish and bits and bobs from around the house to cre­ate the comedic pup­pet show.

The show comes di­rect to Auck­land from the Ade­laide Fringe fes­ti­val.

It picked up the Best New­comer award at the Ed­in­burgh Fringe fes­ti­val in 2010.

It run from April 29 to May 3 at 11am and 6.30pm at the Her­ald The­atre, Aotea Cen­tre.
