Dog’s dip in pool just not allowed
Public pools are no place to take your pooch for a paddle, Auckland Council says.
Signs have been erected around Grey Lynn Paddling Pool in Grey Lynn Park to remind people it’s a pet-free zone after a Labrador was seen taking a dip.
An Auckland Council spokesperson says a person was spotted bringing their dog into the pool area by a member of the YMCA team that manages the pool and they were asked to leave.
The dog had just got its feet wet in the beach area, the spokesperson says.
‘‘The team put some signs up to remind people and haven’t had any further trouble.’’
