Lions roar in the sec­ond half

The Mt Al­bert Lions con­tin­ued their win­ning ways with a 36-10 win over the Man­gere East Hawks at the weekend.

The Lions trav­elled to Wal­ter Massey Park but it didn’t stop them wear­ing down the home side.

Only two points sep­a­rated the sides at half­time with the score at 8-6 to Mt Al­bert.

The sec­ond half saw Mt Al­bert take ad­van­tage of a tired Man­gere East side and the flood­gates opened.

Sai­mon Lo­ma­loma was awarded the player of the week af­ter an im­pres­sive dis­play.

Mt Al­bert stay in a bat­tle for the top of the ta­ble with the Pt Chevalier Pi­rates, with both teams sit­ting on 22 com­pe­ti­tion points.
