New health and hygiene bylaw

Auckland City Harbour News - - NEWS -

Under-18s are no longer allowed to use sunbeds in Auckland.

The prohibition is part of a new health and hygiene bylaw that requires 1200 Auckland businesses from tattoo parlours to nail bars to be licensed and follow a code of practice.

That means minimum standards have been put in place from this month.

The bylaw requires all commer- cial services that might break, burn or pierce the skin to display a Health Protection Licence.
