It’s time for a tea party

Auckland City Harbour News - - NEWS -

Fancy a cuppa?

The tea will be brewing and cakes ready to eat at the Grey Lynn Library Hall this weekend for the third annual Tea Party Fete.

A pop-up tea room will have an array of teas and treats on offer and there will also be craft stalls.

This year’s event is raising funds for Plunket.

Organiser Hilary John is a big fan of the traditional high tea.

‘‘It’s a perfect way to escape the winter doldrums with a sunnyfaced fete and to have a nice outing with family and friends,’’ she says.

‘‘Now that I am a new mum I really wanted to help support Plunket and encourage new mums and bubs to come along and have some fun.’’

Gold coin donation on entry with all proceeds going to Plunket.

The fete will be held on August 31 from 10am to 2pm at 474 Great North Rd, Grey Lynn.
