Half-hour of walking dedicated to health
Workers, groups and families will be starting a journey to better health in the Featbeat walking challenge next week.
The eight-week challenge, which starts on September 8, encourages people to walk at least 30 minutes a day by taking a virtual journey around Auckland, New Zealand or the Pacific Islands.
Teams of four to eight people earn points along the way and there are prizes for the best story, best photo, best team name, most distance covered by walkers and weekly spot prizes.
About 250 teams take part in the Auckland Regional Public Health Service’s challenge each year.
