The Prostate Can­cer Foun­da­tion of New Zealand rec­om­mends men:

Un­dergo an­nual prostate spe­cific anti­gen (PSA) blood tests and dig­i­tal rec­tal exams (DRE) start­ing at age 45. High­risk groups should be­gin test­ing at age 40

Lis­ten to their body for warn­ing signs, in­clud­ing a change in fre­quency, ur­gency and pres­sure of uri­na­tion, painful uri­na­tion or blood in urine

Reg­u­late their diet and al­co­hol in­take

Main­tain a healthy weight

Ex­er­cise reg­u­larly.
