Keep the greens

Auckland City Harbour News - - NEWS -

As a near neighbour of Chamberlain Park Golf Course for the last 26 years, I wish to add my voice to those opposing any redevelopment.

I am not a golfer but I would like to play one day.

The golf course has always been a very good neighbour, as have the players.

Judging by the peals of laughter coming from there at times, golfers are happy people too.

I agree with Geoff Senescall that the course is enjoyed by many people, residents and visitors of Auckland.

Chamberlain Park is part of a green corridor from the head waters of Meola Creek in Mt Albert to the mouth at Meola Reef.

Any changes would bring earthworks, felling of more trees, more roading, kerbing, drainage, parking, buildings, and on it goes.

Let it be.
