Aroha String Quartet celebrates its 10th anniversary in Auckland on November 23, 2pm at Q Theatre Loft. Masterworks from Europe and tunes from the Orient will make up the concert. The stirring Song of Emancipation is a folk tune from North-West China repopularised in the 1940s to celebrate a new life under the People’s Republic. The Wellington-based Aroha Quartet has played concerts throughout New Zealand and has performed in Australia, Austria and China. The Aroha Quartet plays regularly in Auckland.
