Ferns play Korea
The Football Ferns kick off their International Tri Series campaign against DPR Korea this Sunday at Bill McKinlay Park at 7.30pm. The competition will also feature the Australians who, like the North Koreans, are ranked in the top 10 in the world. ‘‘Being at home is something that’s always special for us. It’s going to be a really special week and they’ll be three games of top quality football that we hope people will enjoy,’’ coach Tony Readings says. Australia will take on DPR Korea on February 10 in the second game of the tournament. The Ferns will be back in action on February 12 when they take on the Australians to wrap up the tournament. It will be the last time the Football Ferns play on home soil before they begin their preparations for the World Cup in Canada in June. Visit nzfootball.co.nz/footballferns for more details.
