The home bowlers shared the wickets around as Sam Rippington and Dilan Peris each claimed three scalps, while coach Alan Burton and Parth Patel bagged two each.

Grafton did lose Peris in the fourth over of the reply but Burton and Patel batted out the remainder of the day with Burton – the premier grade’s second leading run scorer – key to the day two run chase.

Eden Roskill 245 (S Sharma 89, S Curran 40, D Peris 3/27, S Rippington 3/37) plays Grafton United 28/1 after day one.
