Science fair fun at Motat
Experience the science behind lasers, forensics and super bugs at the Motat Street Science Fair.
The March 29 event is being run in partnership with the University of Auckland and New Zealand Association of Scientists.
Dr Siouxsi Wiles will be there sharing her passion for micro- biology and creatures like glow worms.
Visitors can have their picture taken by the light of glowing bacteria in a photo booth.
Photon Factory, a research facility specialising in ultra fast lasers based at the University of Auckland, will also be there.
The fair aims to be a hands-on experience, Motat chief executive Michael Frawley says.
‘‘It showcases the museum’s commitment to focus on Kiwi technology and ingenuity to educate and inspire visitors so that they go on to become the innovators of tomorrow,’’ he says.
