The Ministry of Primary Industries staff are all to be highly praised in their active efforts to find, contain and restrict any active reproduction with this pesky, nasty little Aussie fruit fly – here in hopefully just a few numbers.
The hasty speed of signs, leaflets and letter drops, along with the policing of the controlled area, are a rapid resonse to what could be a real danger to our ever-growing fruit crop exports – ironically increasing every year into nearby Australia.
