Scoot free

Auckland City Harbour News - - NEWS -

Motorbike and scooter riders now have their own free, designated parks in Auckland Transport’s city centre parking buildings. This is in response to the increase in commuters opting to travel on two-wheeled vehicles, parking facilities manager Kevin Enderby says. Previously motorbike and scooter users had to find a park in an ‘‘unused area’’, he says. There is a dedicated entry lane for motorbikes at the Downtown car park, which complements the 112 dedicated spaces. The Civic car park has been fitted out with more motorcycle and scooter parking and the Victoria St car park will be developed in the near future.
