The Lo­cal Al­co­hol Pol­icy is still in draft phase and will not be fi­nal un­til af­ter June this year. Sug­ges­tions for the pol­icy in­clude:

All Auck­land of­fli­cences, in­clud­ing su­per­mar­kets, be­ing re­stricted to sell­ing al­co­hol from 9am till 9pm

On-li­cence premises in the CBD would be al­lowed to op­er­ate from 8am till 4am

Else­where in Auck­land on-li­cences would be given an 8am till 3am cur­few

Re­gional club li­cences would have open­ing times be­tween 9am and 1am

Spe­cial con­di­tions have been pro­posed for RSAs, which would be al­lowed to open at 5am on An­zac Day.
