The Local Alcohol Policy is still in draft phase and will not be final until after June this year. Suggestions for the policy include:
All Auckland offlicences, including supermarkets, being restricted to selling alcohol from 9am till 9pm
On-licence premises in the CBD would be allowed to operate from 8am till 4am
Elsewhere in Auckland on-licences would be given an 8am till 3am curfew
Regional club licences would have opening times between 9am and 1am
Special conditions have been proposed for RSAs, which would be allowed to open at 5am on Anzac Day.
