Grafton United fin­ished their 2014-15 Tom Hellaby cham­pi­onship cricket sea­son with a closely fought 16-run first innings victory over Eller­slie at Vic­to­ria Park on March 28. The hosts had posted a first innings to­tal of 195 on day one and, de­spite a half­cen­tury from Neil Bis­man, Grafton were able to se­cure the victory thanks to a sixwicket haul from English­man Sam Rip­ping­ton. De­spite the re­sult Grafton fin­ished the sea­son at the foot of the mi­nor cham­pi­onship lad­der while win­ners Corn­wall will be pro­moted to the Hed­ley Howarth Cham­pi­onship next sea­son.

The MAGS un­der-18 boys’ eight made the A Fi­nal to com­pete for the Maadi Cup for the first time in 53 years.
